Del 16 al 21 de Abril, dos profesoras de nuestro centro –María José Morell y Esther Villar- realizaron un viaje a la ciudad de Poznan (Polonia) con motivo de mostrar el trabajo desarrollado en nuestro centro a los otros centros europeos participantes en el proyecto Comenius. Este es el diario de esta experiencia.

16 de Abril

El primer día de nuestro viaje comenzó a las 5:30 de la mañana en la estación de Cartagena, donde cogimos el primer tren de la mañana hacia Madrid. Sabíamos que el día iba a ser largo, así que nos lo intentamos tomar con calma. Después de cinco horas de tren, vendrían dos trayectos en avión (Madrid-Varsovia, Varsovia-Poznan). Serían las once de la noche cuando finalmente llegamos nuestro destino, tras un largo viaje y tras la sorpresa de no encontrar una de las maletas a nuestra llegada. Afortunadamente, Luiza, coordinadora del proyecto en Polonia., nos estaba esperando en el aeropuerto con nuestro colega italiano Raffaele. Nos llevó directamente al hotel Naramowice, un hotel muy tranquilo situado no muy lejos del aeropuerto.

17 de Abril

A la mañana siguiente, después de un merecido descanso, Ewa (la otra coordinadora del proyecto en Polonia) nos recogió muy temprano en el hotel y nos llevó al instituto polaco, donde nos estaba esperando el equipo directivo para darnos la bienvenida. A continuación, asistimos a una clase de música con una orquesta en el pabellón de deportes a la que asistieron varios grupos de alumnos y después hicimos un recorrido por las instalaciones del centro, en el que nos llamó la atención la disciplina del alumnado y el orden en las clases. Nos mostraron diferentes aulas y el aula de informática, donde nuestros colegas nos mostraron su página web y el uso de las TIcs en el centro. Antes de abandonar el instituto, comimos en la cantina con nuestros colegas europeos. Después de la comida, un ex-alumno del centro nos invitó a pasear por la ciudad sirviéndonos de guía. Por la noche, Ewa nos invitó a cenar en su casa, donde disfrutamos de una noche muy agradable.

18 de Abril

Quedamos con nuestros colegas muy temprano para ir al instituto. Alli asistimos a una representación preparada por los alumnos polacos que participan en el proyecto. Cantaron varias canciones relacionadas con el tema de los hábitos de alimentación saludable, representaron varios sketches también relacionados con este tema y al final todos participamos en una mesa redonda en la que los alumnos polacos mostraron su interés por la rutina diaria en el centro italiano y nuestro centro. A continuación, dispusimos de una hora de clase con otro grupo de alumnos, hora que aprovechamos para mostrar una presentación Power Point sobre Torre Pacheco y sobre un día normal en nuestro centro. Antes de abandonar el centro, comimos en la cantina y después visitamos el jardín botánico de la ciudad y fuimos con Ewa al cine 3D de Poznan, sode vimos una interesante película sobre la vida de los astronautas en el espacio.

19 de Abril

Al día siguiente, de nuevo en el centro, asistimos a una clase de Educación Física dirigida sólo a chicas. Luego, visitamos el Palacio de Rogalin, a unos pocos kilómetros de Poznan, donde pudimos ver los tres árboles más longevos de Polonia. En un restaurante cercano, probamos un plato típico polaco llamado Golonka. Ya por la tarde, dispusimos de tiempo libre para visitar los grandes almacenes Stara Brotar en el centro de la ciudad.

20 de Abril

El último día realizamos una excursión al castillo de Kornik. Disfrutamos de una deliciosa comida en un restaurante de la zona y volvimos a Poznan para caminar por última vez por sus calles. Por la noche, Luiza organizó una fiesta de despedida en su casa, donde tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a otros profesores del centro y donde intercambiamos algunos regalos con nuestros colegas.

Ha sido una experiencia muy gratificante conocer el trabajo de nuestros colegas en otros países. Damos las gracias a todos nuestros compañeros por el trabajo realizado, el cual nos ha permitido llevar a cabo esta actividad.

From 16 th to 21st April, two teachers of our school –María José Morell and Esther Villar- travelled to Poznan ( Poland ) in order to show our European colleagues the work developed in our school within the Comenius project. This is the diary of this experience.

16th April

Our trip started at 5:30 a.m. in the train station in Cartagena , where we took the first train to Madrid . We knew it was going to be a long trip. After five hours by train, two flights followed (Madrid-Warsaw, Warsaw-Poznan). It was 11 p.m. when, finally, we arrived to our destiny, after a long trip and a bitter surprise: one of our suitcases was missing. Fortunately, Luiza, coordinator of the Project in Poland , was waiting for us at the airport along with our Italian colleague, Raffaele. She took us to the hotel Naramowice, a nice hotel not far from the airport

17 th April

Next morning, Ewa (the other coordinator of the Comenius Project in Poland ) picked us up very early in the hotel to take us to the Polish high school, where the headmistress was waiting for us to welcome. Then, we attended a Music lesson with an orchestra in the gym with several groups of students and after that we visited the high school. They showed us different rooms and the computer room, where our Polish colleagues showed us their web page and they explained us the use of the TICs in the high school. Before leaving the school, we ate in the canteen with our European colleagues. After lunch, we visited the city. An old pupil of the Polish high school was the guide. In the evening, Ewa prepared a delicious dinner at her place, where we spent a great time.

18 th April

We met our colleagues early in the morning to go to the high school. There we could see the show that the Polish students taking part in the Comenius Project had prepared. They sang several songs related to the healthy eating habits, they performed some sketches also related to this topic and, finally, we all participated in a debate in which the Polish students made a lot of questions about Italian and Spanish education (our levels of education, daily routine in our schools, etc). Then, we had one hour lesson to present our school to another group of students. We showed a Power Point presentation about Torre Pacheco and a normal day in our school. Before leaving the school, we had lunch at the canteen of the school and afterwards we visited the Botanical Garden of the city and we went with Ewa to the 3D cinema of Poznan, where we saw an interesting film about the life of astronauts in space

19 de Abril

Next day, back in the high school, we atended to a P.E. lesson only for girls. Then, we visited the Rogalin Palace , a few kilometres away from Poznan , where we could see the oldest oaks in Poland . In a nearby restaurant, we tasted a typical Polish dish called Golonka. In the afternoon, we had some spare time to visit the Department Store Stary Browar in the city center.

20 th April

Last day we visited the Kornik castle. We enjoyed of a delicious lunch in a nearby restaurant and we came back to Poznan to walk around the city for the last time. In the evening, Luiza organised a farewell party at her place, where we had the opportunity of meeting other teachers of the Polish high school and where we exchanged some presents.

It has been a very gratifying experience to know another educational system and to know how the Comenius project is working in our colleagues' countries. We thank all our colleagues for the work carried out in our school. We couldn't have enjoyed of this great experience without their support and hard work.
